Kelsey McAuliff received her MASc degree in 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Rehan Sadiq and Dr. Kasun Hewage. Her research is focused on evaluating the quantity of water use and the associated impacts of water use for unconventional oil and gas extraction via horizontal drilling and multi-stage hydraulic fracturing. Ms. McAuliff earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Vermont where she focused on environmental health and chemistry. Professionally, Ms. McAuliff has performed field and laboratory work in support of multiple research projects, such as one which evaluted the composition of common consumer products and another which focused on observing carbon and nutrient exchange within lotic ecosystems. She also has four years of experience working in regulatory compliance within the medical device and oil and gas industries.
